Marge Pavich
Marge is a talented and creative watercolor artist who lives in Downers Grove, IL. She has always been an artist, but the past two years brought her back to watercolors and infused her with a new passion for painting, specifically for children. She thinks in terms of sparking the imagination of little ones and she infuses her art with a sense of magic, fun and friendship. There are always new ideas and characters that come to her and ask to be painted.
Marge’s ideas and characters come in as a strong vision. When they arrive she heads to the art table most mornings to get them down on paper. There is a flow and magical quality that leads her to the next step.
Because Marge wants to inspire children and spark their imaginations, it's important for her to bring magic and life into her prints. One way to do that is through stories. Her son-in-law, Jannick, is writing short stories for the children’s paintings. These stories will soon be included with all the animal prints.
She has always been creative and is self-taught. She has been married to John for 40 years and has two daughters, Jenny & Stacy. While raising her kids, she used her talent mainly as a source of extra income and was commissioned for pet and house portraits and worked part-time as an illustrator as well.
Now she has the time to let her heart lead the way and she creates from a space of enjoyment and fun.
When she’s not painting she enjoys winter's in Florida, the ocean, riding her bike and gardening. During the summer you might find her on the back of John’s motorcycle. That is one of her favorite places to Reiki the world.
Optimistic, funny, unique and unconventional are good words to describe our Magical Marge.
She will be solo exhibiting in 2024 and 2025 at many local libraries to bring her art to as many kids as possible. (see below...)
Jenny Pavich & Jannick Kjaer
Marge is helped by her daughter, Jenny Pavich and son-in-law, Jannick Kjaer. They handle all the other aspects so she can just paint. It’s a family affair over at Magical Marge and it makes bringing this art to the world a lot more fun.
